I had the pleasure of wrestling with Lia Labowe twice this weekend and sitting in on her making some custom videos as well. Lia Labowe is a tall, lean, experienced wrestler who has recently come out of a 2 year retirement. I was lucky enough to be booked with her while she’s around for her comeback. Lia was booked solid on her trip to the west coast. Seemed everyone wanted a piece of the girl as no one knows for sure how long she will stay around. My hopes are that she stays around for a long long time.

Her body is gorgeous with legs that seem to go on forever. She has silky, long brown hair that she swings around like a vixen when she’s working. Without giving away the endings of either match I had with her, I will attempt to write about my time with her.

First, I will tell you what I was expecting. I had heard legendary tales of this girl. I heard she battled something like 16 girls in one day and no one was able to tap her out. I heard she was training he BJJ for years and practiced reverently. I heard she was the sexiest girl ever to hit the mats….well…did she live up to her legendary status…YES!!! Yes she did. The woman is incredibly skilled. She has a defense for any attack. She has a mental toughness I have never seen in another wrestling EVER. She has a focus I have never seen in a female grappler.

She walked in to Robin’s Studio for our match without a stitch of makeup on. Her features are stunning; she is a naturally gorgeous woman. Her cheeks get rosey as she works out. Her limbs are long,  strong, and can do no wrong and her balance is great. She bountiful hair makes for a lot of fun hair pulling , both intentional and unintentional. She walked in Robin’s studio after doing something like 20 matches in the last 14 days. She admitted she was worn out and tired.

This was to be my first match against Lia. I don’t get very nervous when I’m going up against someone for the first time. It’s something about not expecting too much of myself. It’s all new to me and I can do my best and that’s all I can do. I know I have to adjust as the match goes on and there is only so much preparation I can do before I wrestle someone for the first time. If they win, I’m okay with it as I didn’t know what to expect. It’s when I rematch someone that I start feeling the nerves. I expect more of myself. I expect to have learned from the first time. I expect to have improved since the first match up more than my opponent has. So my first match up with Lia I wasn’t nervous. I heard she was tough but I had no idea what  tough meant. From out of nowhere she slung arms and legs around me as if she had more than just a pair. She was like a spider with 8 limbs wrapping around me, blocking me, trapping me, stopping me. I’ve gone up against girl who were taller than I but I’ve never gone up against anyone who used their reach advantage as well as Lia did. She made good use of her long, muscular legs and arms.  I spent most of the match on the bottom because she had such good balance; I had difficulty moving her. Regardless, I am comfortable working on my back…just ask my boyfriend hahahha .

For our second match, we were shooting for W.A. W.  We were slated for a competitive match but we decided last minute to do semi comp. I much rather perfer fully competitive matches when doing video work.  I feel that semi should just be for fun and no winner or loser should be appointed. ” Compete” is defined by dictionary.com as:

 to strive to outdo another for acknowledgment, a prize, supremacy, profit, etc.; engage in a contest; vie

So if you are going to strive to out do each other you go all out or nothing..you don’t only semi try…Semi competitive is an oxymoron to me how can you only semi…or partially try to win???

With that said. I go into “semi” mode as if I am sparring with someone at my gym. I am sure Lia felt the same way. The Match was done in a fun, respectful way. We still did our trash talking of course as we both rather enjoy it. Lia did a great job of foiling my submission attempts and I did a great job of trying to keep her off me in this match.  The grappling in the semi competitive match was actually much more fun this time around as there wasn’t as much pressure as a fully competitive match. There was great skills demonstrated by both of us.We both made great submission attempt and escapes. It is definitely worth checking out. The matches were both really great fun. I have great respect for the woman and I truly hope she continues in the sport for a very long long time.

April 22nd, 2010 was a big day for me. I went up against a woman who has been a long time challenge for me. Isamar Gutierriez had beaten me every single time I had gone up against her at academy wrestling. I wanted to make April 22nd different than any other time; I wanted to win. With out giving away any details I want to talk about my day up at academy last Thursday. It was literally the best day of wrestling that I have ever experienced. On set was myself, Isamar, Dragon Lily and of Course, Academy Bruce. The energy in the room was amazing. Each girl was confident, calm and cool. There was great respect amongst the all combatants andthe producer.. The one thing I love about going against people I’ve fought before is the nerves I get. I find that going up against someone I’ve fought is much more stressful than going up against someone I’ve never gone up against. I feel that if I’ve gone up against someone in a previous “battle” I should do well. There are no excuses. I have been against them, I know their fighting style, I know their tricks, I know what to expect…I should be prepared. If I have never “fought” someone before, I allow myself a certain amount of error since it’s all a new experience.

I have been up against both Isamar and Dragon before. I had high expectations of myself. I was extremely driven to win. Determination to win can only take one so far. Heart will keep you going till you can’t go anymore..but skill and training and what will defy how you win. A wrestler needs both heart and skill and a wrestler can not rely on just only heart or only skill. I trained hard and I was ready for my matches. I’ve said it before and I will say it again. The thing that drives me wild in a match is when I have a girl in a hold and she struggles and struggles and tries everything she can to get out of a hold then she realizes that she is trapped and she makes the sexiest sound in the world…the sound of defeat. “oh no” she sighs and her body lay limp as she realizes that struggling is futile. THAT, my friends, is what keeps me doing what I do. THAT, my friends, is my “fetish”. Why do I love it so much…because I have been there…I have been in the position where I don’t like being held down, I think I can get out and I squirm and fight and fight ans squirm and I realize..”this bitch has me and there is nothing I can do other than let them do what they want”. Ultimate physical Domination…there is NOTHING sexier than that….wait there is ONE thing sexier than that…. and that is when the role of domination switches hands back and forth for about 30 minutes and the bell determines who the truly dominate one is. After 30 minutes, the time is up and the girl who has the most “submissions” is deemed victorious while the other girl who just barely lost is deemed “the loser”…if only they had 3 more minutes….would she have won? time will tell and time did tell in their match. This is a lot like what happened in Dragon and Isamar’s match. I got to sit on the side lines and watch the two girls fight it out.

There is something about Dragon Lily. She has a certain kind of “cool” about her. I was watching her scramble with Isamar…yes they scrambled…all over the mats. They looked like two squirrels in heat tumbling all over the mats…it was the most active match I’ve ever seen live as an on looker. Dragon would be in a predicament and she would breath in “ffffffffff” and breath out ” chhhh chhh chhhh”. It almost sounded as if Jason was looking for campers on crystal lake. She kept a cool about her the entire time. I recall seeing her in a nasty guillotine and then seeing her calm face and hearing her breath and I said to myself ” wow she is so calm right now, she’ll get out of this”…did she get out?….you’ll have to watch the video. Everything Dragon did was thought out carefully. There was no flailing. There was no panic. She was methodical and precise.

Isamar did was isamaralways does. She figured out hold as she went. There is something so impressive about a woman who has never taken a class on holds or submissions but who can find a way to tap a girl out in ANY hold she can get. From the top isamar is lethal and from the bottom, isamar is still leathal. One must constantly keep their chin down, their arms and feet tucked and their hair out of the way for if any limb is left loose, isamar will attack it. Not only is Isamar smart and a natural at manipulating joints but she is also strong as a truck. Even without training on a regular basis, Isamar’s muscle tone is more evidant than most full timer trainers. She is a lean mean fighting machine who can move a train with her pinky…well maybe not with her pinky….

April 22nd was THE most excited wrestling day of my life. It felt good, it looked good and at the end of the day all the girls were gushing over each other telling each other how amazing they were and this and that. The the fights were amazing but the thing that was the most awesome was the sportsmanship and great respect each person showed to each other before, during and after the matches.

I was up in Sacramento shooting for WBIagain. I didn’t do much on camera work this time around. I had scouted a few girls and this was their first time shooting for WBI so I was breaking them in Ariel Style. We had Natalia Love and Missy Martinez up with us. They are such charming, awesome girls. What a treat it was to work with them. They are both about 5’8 and 145lbs witch great big natural knockers hahah my favorite kind 🙂 Natalia has wrestled before for Academy wrestling. She’s gone up against the likes of Isamar, Abby, Dia Zerva and even myself. She held her own each time. This time we decided to put her against someone her size but without any skills. Missy is a sweet girl. I worked with her on a lesbo movie for Dana Dane a while back and she and I became quick friends. She lives in my town so we grab lunch from time to time. She expressed interest in trying the whole wrestling thing out. I knew if I went against her in a submission wrestling match, I would kill her. It wouldn’t be fun for either of us and probably no fun to watch.  We Bring it does have a very special kind of match that is great for people of all skill levels. It’s called a “Bring it” match. It’s a full blown catfight with body and face slaps, choke holds ( but not submissions for the first 15 min) belling punching, hair pulling tearing clothes off..the whole nine yards. The girls get to fight back and forth for a full 15minutes, wearing each other down. Then at 15 mins they are allowed to go for a submission. At 15 minutes the girls break apart and start at a neutral position and then go for the submission. Types of Submissions allowed are discussed prior to shooting as some girls are new and don’t know how to do some submission let alone defend against them so sometimes we dont allow ALL kinds of submissions.

The Bring It matches kinda even out the playing feild. The cat fights are pretty effing intense and then it all comes down to 1…only 1 submission and not always the better person wins..it’s who ever is fast, smarter or more agressive once they call “go” but isn’t that how most fights are?

I did do 2 bring it matches. One with Natalia and one with Missy. We slapped the living hell out of each other is was freak AWESOME!!! The girls did a great job and you may be surprised with some of the outcomes of these bring it matches. Like I said, it all comes down to ONE submission in the end…no redemption, no…hey you tapped me I’ll get you two more times…nope..it’s all or nothing!!!!

So some of you may or may not know that this last Valentine’s day, Sugarbear and I were not able to do anything. His work got extremely busy and I think I was out of town or working or something. Our flame has been dying out lately. He’s been recovering from surgery and I have been focusing on work and family. Romance has been lacking to say the least.

I personally can not be in a loveless relationship. I need romance, I need hugs and kisses and to be held and told that I am loved…..well…when you date a hard ass you don’t get that so you have to TAKE IT from the hard ass and force it out of them LOL. I like romantic vacations. I also love educational trips and stuff like that but I LOVE romantic getaways. I chose to treat sugarbear to a nice weekend, seeing how he is always taking me everywhere with him. I got us a room at the Madonna Inn. Now if you have heard anything about this place you know that each room has different name and theme. We stayed in the Daisy Mae. The daisy mae is unique in that it is all rock…everything…from ceiling to floor is rock. The bed is a bed..it is not rock…thankfully but that is the only furniture in the room. The sink and shower in the bathroom are both beautiful waterfalls. The Daisy Mae is one of their smaller rooms but not cheapest. I would recommend a bigger rock room however if you are okay in small spaces…the daisy mae is truly unique and sexy!!!

The first night was a throw away night. I didn’t plan anything for us to do other than have dinner at the steakhouse of the hotel. I absolutely loved the decor!! ALL PINK!!! OMG…some people think it’s tacky but its very elegant and truly unique.

Saturday I got us a VIP tour at the Eberle Winery. We got to have our wine tasting in the caves. Eberle stores their wine barrels for aging in these underground caves which keep them consistently 67-69 degrees year round which is pretty energy efficient. We tried 8 different wines and I have decided that I truly, truly HATE all red wines. It’s unfortunate that the red wines are the ones with the reservital and antioxidants and they are the ones I detest. I have decided I am a white wine drinker..I purchased a nice Muscat and I shared it with my family when I came home.

After a day of wine tasting, we headed back to the hotel and over to their spa. We got a deep tissue couples massage. Sugarbear seem please…but i’m sure he would have been more pleased if he got a happy ending. Alas they don’t do them there..we didn’t ask but we could just tell. We headed back to our room and I gave him my own happy ending.

After the massages and a short nap..yes I put people to sleep with my skills..don’t know if that a good thing or a bad thing yet….we headed over to a nice place called “the Graduate” in down town San Luis Obispo. They were playing the UFC fights. GSP was fighting that weekend and there was no way I was going to miss that. Also Mir and Carwin were fighting. I wanted Mir to win but I think his time is passed so I wasn’t expecting him to win. For those of you who missed it, Carwin won….TKO….what a fighter. He is now the Interim Heavy Weight Champion.. I can’t wait to see him fight Brock Lesnor.

Sunday, we checked out of our hotel and drove 45 minutes north to see the Hearst Castle.  What an interesting history. The guy’s dad struck it rich during the gold rush ( he mined silver). With his fortune he bought hundes of miles in central California…several hundred thousand acres for .60 a acre( gosh how nice) The father died but wouldn’t leave the money to his spend thrift son so he left it to his mother. The son was kicked out of Harvard and got into publishing. He made his fortune in newspapers, radio and movies. When he was in his 50’s his mother passed and left all the money to his son.The son, who was a great fan of art, spent 28 years building the ranch/castle and it never was finished. It’s a great place and a must see for any visitor. I’m glad we went.

So I left my camera at home and all I have are cell phone pix 🙁 I hope you enjoy them…and yes I did buy cave man outfits for the rock room

My guy has been pretty sweet since his surgery. He seems to be recovering well. He’s still moody when he takes him pain killers but since I only see him on weekends, if he starts mouthing off on me all I have to do is hang up the phone and by the time the weekend rolls around, he’s a darling..hahah so funny cause it’s true.

Well in one of his bouts of being in a good mood he decided I was worthy enough to take to a Bon Jovi concert and then to Cancun, Mexico. In the 80’s I loved Bon Jovi. I thought he was a great artist. I still turn the radio up when one of his classics come on. I didn’t know what to expect from the concert. I know my guy shelled out big dollars to get us really outstanding seats at the staple center. He got us a VIP package so we got food and drinks in a private area before the concert and then we had some really great seats. We sat next to these 2 large women who were huge fans of Bon Jovi ( or as I like to call him now since we are friends…not really…BJ) The girls had seen BJ in concert many times. They bragged about how amazing his shows are, how he puts on the best show out of anyone they’ve seen, he has a crazy light show…blah blah blah..they really hyped him up. I’ve seen some really amazing shows before so I was like…whoa what is this guy going to do that is going to shock, wow and amaze me. Well..he came out on stage and he was as cute and as charming as ever. Obviously a little older than I remember but still studdly and handsome. His performance was great…he is a true entertainer. He gets the crowd pumped…the is very dramatic when he sings. I waited for this crazy light show but it just never happened. What did happen that I’ve never seen before was this: The tour is called “The Circle” after their new album. So on the floor of the audience the band had a circle on which they could walk out and touch the fans. BJ come to the from of the circle and stood about 7 feet from my face…crotch level to my eyes..yes you know I was check that out. As BJ moved closer, as stampede of overweight middle age women came rushing the stage. There had to have been 20-30 big mama all rushing the stage. They were freaking out..crying…jumping up and down..they were literally killing each other to get to the front. The little girls were getting tossed like ragdolls to the back. I wanted nothing to do with that. There is one thing I can’t stand and I’m sorry to offend anyone but I really can’t stand Fat, inconsiderate, hysterical women. I can’t stand any hysterical woman. I really want to smack sense into them. Dude what do you think…that your going to jump up and down hard enough to get is attention, his eyes will meet your eyes and he will stop the concert to tell this bouncer to take you back stage so you guys can get married…get really lamers….

Anyway. BJ is a total babe and he is very thoughtful to his fans. Between songs he stopped and said, “hey, weren’t not stupid. We know it’s not 1984 anymore. We feel lucky to be able to play and still sell out venues like this and that wouldn’t be possible without you, the fans so thank you very much.”

He’s a class act. fo sho!!!

CANCUN…

Cancun was great. I have never been there. My BF has some friends who do a lot of travelling and one of his buddies told him about this little known secret at some of the airlines. If you try to book 1st class tickets at the time of your reservation, the airlines charge an arm and a leg….but if you upgrade at the time of your check in you can upgrade to first class for anywhere from $75-150….so we flew 1st class….what a treat.

We stayed at an all inclusive place called The Royal.  It was absolutely beautiful. Each room was a suite with it’s own Jacuzzi tub. The Jacuzzi takes for ever to fill up but it’s still pretty cool to have in your room. You can fill out a card to request special pillows and comforters and aromas each day you stay. It’s pretty classy. It’s a 5 diamond resort and NO KIDS are allowed.

Unfortunately, my sugarbear was there on business so we were in conferences and work dinners the entire time and didn’t get to do much. We did get to go to the beach though, which was nice. The water there is so blue. It looks delicious but I’m sure it’s still salty and will give you diarrhea if you drink it.

So that was my last weekend. I have been working every single day since I got back. The next vacation is a REAL vacation…no work, no obligations….That will be at the end of march. I’m treating my guy this time 🙂
